Press Release

Date: July 30, 2015
Location: Indianapolis, IN

overnor Mike Pence will join approximately 600 American Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) members and Hoosier motorcyclists tomorrow for the Annual Ride with the Governor. The ride, which is free to all participants, helps to bring awareness to motorcycle safety in the Hoosier State and raises funds for the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund, which gives 100 percent of all donations to assist members of the Indiana National Guard and their families.

"Today's Annual Ride with the Governor represents our continued commitment to our Indiana National Guard and their families," said Governor Pence. "I'm proud today to join ABATE members and Hoosier motorcyclists as we travel nearly 200 miles to northeast Indiana, passing through cornfields, small towns, and big cities in the meantime. I hope that with today's event we can continue to support the men and women that serve our state and our nation."

The 184-mile ride begins at the Statehouse and includes three stops along the route in Anderson, Gas City, and Fort Wayne. Motorcyclists interested in participating should visit the ABATE website for details about the ride.
